Бытовая автоматика. 13 лет спустя

С момента выхода первой статьи «Бытовая автоматика. Начало» прошло уже почти 13 лет, и, оглядываясь назад, мне кажется — есть о чём рассказать. Проект, который родился как DIY-«включалка», постепенно вырос в нечто большее. Некоторые идеи остались прежними, другие — наоборот, претерпели множественные трансформации. Первоначальный сервер на кухонной полке прошёл эволюционный путь через три сервера на шкафу, затем стал всего лишь одной из виртуальных машин в VirtualBox на Dell R710. Сегодня от него, кроме бэкапов, ничего не осталось, но есть Proxmox на Dell Wyse 5070 с десятком контейнеров, в которые он эволюционировал для решения поставленных задач. Но давайте обо всём по порядку.

Motion detection + object tracking works multiple levels above where it was with #zoneminder. It IDs every car going down the street and often in the parking lot a block away, plus the half-a-car poking over the hill from my neighbor.

It has reinvigorated me to set up some additional camerae in key spots of the yard plus maybe a birdfeeder one?

Stawiam ojcu #ZoneMinder na starej skrzynce, najpierw postawiłem na #Debian. W zasadzie podążając za instrukcjami wszystko szło gładko, jedynym utrudnieniem był brak jednego polecenia, znalazłem je na szczęście w innym poradniku.

A potem pomyślałem "ok, zróbmy to jeszcze raz, ale na #FreeBSD żeby poznać lepiej ten system i w ogóle oprogramowanie serwerowe"

Kurwa. Kurwa mać, ja pierdole. Jezu chryste w dupe pierdolony zajebany kutasiarski w pizdu chuj mnie strzeli zaraz.
Nagle na to już żadnych handbooków nie ma, chuj mi w dupe.
Udało mi się dojść so momentu w którym wreszcie łaskawie renderuje PHP, ale bez obrazków, CSS czcionek, idę spać do chuja pana zasranego.

A while ago I adjusted my #Zoneminder setup to use ffmpeg as source type.

However since that change I noticed that all recorded events now started with a grey "layer" before the actual video.

To fix this, the #ffmpeg encoder parameters need to be set in the monitor (camera) settings. Here's how 👇
