Habe für das Haustier nach einer "do-it-yourself" IP-Cam Lösung gesucht und bin sogar grundsätzlich fündig geworden. Die ersten Gehversuche mit "MotionEye" und einer USB-Webcam liefern zufriedenstellende Ergebnisse.
Das mit der Bewegungserkennung funktioniert noch nicht ganz aber das finde ich schon noch heraus.
ZoneMinder konnte ich außerdem noch ausmachen aber das sprengt, auf den ersten Blick zumindest, den Rahmen wie ich finde.

Motion detection + object tracking works multiple levels above where it was with #zoneminder. It IDs every car going down the street and often in the parking lot a block away, plus the half-a-car poking over the hill from my neighbor.

It has reinvigorated me to set up some additional camerae in key spots of the yard plus maybe a birdfeeder one?

Udało mi się dojść so momentu w którym wreszcie łaskawie renderuje PHP, ale bez obrazków, CSS czcionek, idę spać do chuja pana zasranego.

A while ago I adjusted my #Zoneminder setup to use ffmpeg as source type.

However since that change I noticed that all recorded events now started with a grey "layer" before the actual video.

Picked up this "AI" camera for $15. I'm going to see if I can integrate it into my existing Zonemimder setup (if there's a video stream I should be able to do something). Of course, only after I connect it to an airgapped laptop so I can see what weird URLs it's trying to connect to. Also, it seems to require an app, but I'm hoping I can get around that.

The illustration on the back is top notch!
