Good morning Fellow Travellers around the Sun ☀️ I'm up early with the parrots again today and still sitting with Ziggy, who is currently refusing to go in for her breakfast 🥴 This is probably because yesterday, after she had eaten, she started to sneeze and have liquid running out of her nares again, so we spent some time doing steam sessions to clear her airways and help her breathe. She was fine after that, but she has obviously remembered and now doesn't want to go in to her cage, but wants to sit with me instead. At some point the hunger will win out, but for the moment my attention wins 🙂

We have another vet appointment in two weeks time for more blood tests and hopefully some idea of how best to handle these ongoing episodes. I know that birds with heart issues are exercise intolerant and flying can exacerbate her breathing problems, but trying to get Ziggy not to fly is impossible. Just this morning she has flown around the room (she grabbed my phone and somehow turned the torch on which freaked her out) and back and forth from her cage to me at least four times. She's a bird, they fly 🤷🏻‍♀️

She has now gone in for breakfast, and is singing while eating, "Toot, toot toot!" No wonder she sneezes after eating, she talks with her mouth full all the time 😁

She has this new thing in the morning where she now acts like a gaffer while I'm cleaning their cages. She come down to the bottom of the cage, watches what I am doing and says "Uh huh!" a few times while walking back and forth, as though judging my work. When I spray the tray with disinfectant she helpfully says "Water!",and when I put new paper down yells "Paper!" just in case I wasn't paying attention 😂

Little bird. Huge personality ❣️

Plans for today are some Parrot Kitchen this morning and then crochet as I continue to work on the double order I'm busy with.

Good morning everyone ☀️ It is Monday, but I am still on leave this week, so yay! 🙌 😊

I'm up early with the parrots again today. I've just had a "sweat lodge" session with Ziggy, who was sounded a bit snotty again. She did some mad panic flying around the room last night - absolutely no idea what spooked her this time - so I was expecting a bit of congestion this morning as birds with heart issues tend to be exercise intolerant. We try our best to keep her flying to a minimum, but she's a bird, and it's what they do, especially when something startles them. Usually it's Toby, because that big galoot will panic at his own shadow and cause the others to freak out, but I can't blame him this time 🥴
She's gone in for breakfast now and I'll keep an eye on her as it's normally after she eats that problems arise.

Plans for the moment are to drink coffee and play some Stardew Valley and then we'll see where the day goes.

Good morning everyone ☀️ I am up early with the parrots today and am on duty all day as it is Grant's big half a century birthday today. He's planning to spend it playing the new Resident Evil game, which he downloaded last night.

Ziggy is currently grumbling away in my hand. She's in a very playful mood at present, and was play fighting with me last night. She screeches like a mad bird and sounds like she's freaking out when she does so, like she's genuinely attacking me, and she does bite hard, though not to break the skin. But she rolls on her back, showing complete trust in me not to drop her as we tussle, with me going 'Argh!" and pretending to attack her back. Then, in the middle of all this noise and chaos she will suddenly go "Ceek-a-boo!"and start "Tee hee hee" ing and we both end up laughing away 😊

Plans for today are to look after Grant and take care of everything so he can just enjoy his birthday and game to his hearts content. He got Steam vouchers from me again, so will be able to buy another couple of games if he wants to later, but for today he's like a kid at Christmas about his new horror game 😊

Good morning everyone 🌻 I am up early with the parrots again today. I was supposed to have a long lie, but I need to keep an eye on Ziggy as we had another occurrence of liquid coming out of her nares again yesterday after she had eaten breakfast. I sat with her and did three steam treatments, which luckily helped clear up her breathing. Phoned the vet and asked if I could up the dosage of her diaretic to the original dose, which she agreed we could do, with a review and more bloods in a couple of weeks. I hope that's going to be enough to keep her stable for now.

She's in good spirits despite all of this though and is her usual cheeky self, which I am very grateful for. She's currently curled up under my chin, giving me neck shingles and nipping me if I dare try and squirm 😊 As long as she is a bossy boots I am happy.

I didn't end up doing much yesterday other than looking after Zigs, but at least I am on leave and didn't have to try and juggle her needs and work. To be honest though, work would have lost out in that fight 🙂 Today I am going with Grant to a job interview. He's very nervous about it and wants me to be his navigator so he doesn't panic trying to get there. I'll just sit in the car with my Switch and wait for him.

Good morning my Fine Fedi Friends 💕 I'm up late today after a nice long lie in which I had, as usual, bonkers dreams. This time for some reason the company HR department had decided to direct people to my bedroom as a new waiting room, while I was still in bed mind you! Two of my colleagues ran into the room to tell me they had found a dead bird, so I grabbed Ziggy, who also happened to be there and went to have a look. There were feathers scattered around like you see when a bird has been killed by a hawk or a cat, but also creepy serial killer notes all over the place 🤷🏻‍♀️ Detective Ziggy and I were on the case when I woke up 😂

At the moment she is chatting away to me, while chewing on what looks like a bit of apricot. I've never seen a parrot eat with so much relish as our Zigs 😊

I had a good time playing some single campaign BG3 yesterday again. Celeste and her crew took on the lava monster, the Guardian of the Forge and a bunch of Githyanki at the mountain pass. That last one was tough as it was a sorcerer, Gale, Astarion and Karlach up against a bunch of warriors, but we made it without anyone dying 😊

Plans for today are to do some more cupboard cleaning. I have a sideboard in the dining room which hasn't been tidied in about ten years and it's groaning with stuff we no longer use that could go to charity. Then it's back to the hospital in the afternoon for my three monthly checkup. All very exciting 😂

Good morning Fellow Travellers around the Sun 🌞 I'm up early with the parrots again today. Ziggy has just started to demand "Come! Come!" after a brief cuddle, but has now decided to slip down my sleeve instead and nip my arm for fun 😊 Pretty soon she'll be digging a hole down the side of the couch again now doubt. She's a determined hole digger that's for sure. She has actually chewed away part of the couch cushion cover as well as a large hole in my cardigan on that side. All of my pajama and clothing tops that I wear around her have chew holes in them too - I look like someone with a serious moth problem 😂

We had a great time in co-op BG3 again yesterday, but we are in serious need of some health potions to take into fights with us. We won a battle against some Githyanki by the skin of our teeth, resulting in two downed party members and one actually dead, who had to be revived with a scroll, and only Grognak still standing with minimal health. Then later at the Tollhouse a failed persuasion check landed us in a fight with Gerringingothe Thorm and her awful visagses which we lost spectacularly 🥴 Ethera was the last one standing in that fight, but as a squishy on her own was quickly overpowered. We'll need to try that one again next time. With health potions this time! 😊

Plans for today are to do some cupboard cleaning. I'm going to tackle the bathroom today and probably chuck out a bin full of old medication and other stuff. I also fully expect to find loads of washes and shampoos tucked away which we have totally forgotten about and therefore keep buying more 😊

Good morning everyone 🌻 I'm up early with the parrots today and just having a wee cuddle with Ziggy before the madness if my work day starts again. She's currently tucked up in my left hand grumbling away to herself and saying " Uh huh" every now and then, to which I have to respond in kind.

And now she has run up my arm and dived into my sleeve again, giving me a little nip just for the fun of it. It is definitely her new favourite place, because she can hide and make me jump and yell "Ouch!" at the same time, and then she chuckles away to herself when I do so 😊 Certainly wakes me up, that's for sure!

Right, she's digging a hole down the side of the couch again now, so time to interrupt her for her medicine and breakfast and then coffee and work for me.

Good morning my Fine Fedi Friends 💕 I'm up early with the parrots again today after good rest. I only woke up once during the night, which is really good for me.

I'm currently sitting being preened by Ziggy who is tattooing my neck again with her precise little beak. It is really quite painful, but I have to sit still and bear it as any jerking results in her giving me ear a good nip 🥴 She will take no nonsense from her preenee that's for sure! 😂

She's now down under my cardigan at my side "digging" again. I don't think the hormones every really turn off for Ziggy. She's definitely worse at certain times of year, but she's always hormonal. Luckily, in all her years, she has never tried to lay an egg, not even when we had Frodo, who was male. He was a sickly boy from the time we got him though, bless his wee sweet soul.

She's now gone in for breakfast after having demanded "Come! Come!" and taken her medication like a pro. She definitely takes well to the tiny bit fruit feast egg food we now give her in the morning, constantly telling me it's "Good!" and making "Mmm" noises as she eats it 😊

I finished the competition toy yesterday finally 🙌 so today Grognak and Ethera will be heading out into the Shadow Cursed Lands again in BG3 to find the House of Healing and figure out how to wake up Art Cullagh.

Good morning Fellow Travellers on the Galactic Spiral Arm 🌌 I'm up with the parrots today and currently sitting having a lovely cuddle with Ziggy, who is in my hand, grumbling away with contentment. She is very lively after her ordeal on Thursday and bright as a button, which I am very happy to report. She has now moved inside the sleeve of my cardigan and is having great fun nipping me under the arm and making me go "Ouch!" 😊

And now we are back, after a brief interlude for Ziggy to take her meds. I've found that using Fruit Feast egg food in the morning does the trick. It requires only a tiny amount on the tip of the teaspoon to soak up all the medication and Zigs wolf's it down and even licks the spoon 😁

She's now down beside my leg and the side of the couch "digging". Ziggy loves doing this and will happily "dig" for ages. I wonder if they dig holes in nature for nesting, because there's obviously a powerful instinct there. I don't let her get too into it though as it just makes her broody.

Plans for today are to finally go out with Ethera and Grognak in BG3 again after a hiatus of a few weeks. We'll be picking our way carefully around the Shadow Cursed Lands. Well, I say "we", but no doubt Grognak will land the party in a pickle as is his wont 😂

Good morning everyone 🌞 I'm up early with the parrots again today and Ziggy has just gone in for breakfast (I remembered her food this time ☺️) after a game of "Where's Ziggy?" played with her up the sleeve of my cardigan under my arm, which is now her favourite spot apparently. Wee video attached.

Work today, so I will keep this brief to gear up for the Monday Inbox of Doom.
