I would like to access the ‘Users and Computers’ section of Zentyal using Apache Directory Studio.

The connection to the server is successful. However, I am unable to log in using the user data.

Who can help or knows someone who can help? I look forward to receiving advice. So far, I have no experience with notation such as cn=John,dn=Domain,dn=local.

Ich möchte mit Apache Directory Studio auf den Teil "Users and Computers" von Zentyal zuzugreifen.

An der Verbindung zum Server scheitert es nicht. Aber der Login mit Hilfe der Nutzerdaten klappt nicht.

Wer kann helfen oder kennt eine Person die helfen kann? Ich freue mich auf Ratschläge. Denn bisher habe ich keine Erfahrung mit der Notation wie zum Beispiel cn=John,dn=Domain,dn=local

@cherti I used #btrfs on #Zentyal/#Ubuntu and then #ZFS with #proxmox/#debian. Would in the future choose ZFS again. I prefer the easy management of raids with zpools. Switching out failing disks on the live system was quite easy with zero downtime. For a single disk I don’t think there’s a lot of difference if you are only looking for CoW snapshots.

Und zumindest kann ich mich an ein Testprojekt erinnern, wo der Admin -- wohlmeinend -- die „Grüne Hölle“ -- #Zentyal -- installiert hat und ich nicht in der Lage war, #bind so
zu konfigurieren wie wir das brauchten. Am Ende hab ich dann doch wieder die Konfiguration von Hand gepflegt.

Well bugrit millenium hand and shrimp, as Foul Ole Ron said.

I figured I'd take a couple of hours to upgrade my #zentyal home firewall (community edition) to 22.04 LTS. Went mostly OK, only needing mysql to be manually restarted.

Unfortunately, Zentyal 7.0 (with the nice UI) only works on 20.04 LTS, as I found out after the reboot. The box still works fine as a firewall and pi-hole is up and running, but it looks like I'll be managing it through ssh for now. Not hard for me, just annoying.
