The ability to listen is essential.
When we truly engage in meditation we are listening.
We are listening to sounds with our ears, yes.
However, we are also listening to the shapes in front of us with our eyes.
We are also listening to the pressure of the floor on our legs with our bodies.
We are listening to the air currents with our skin.
We are listening to the thoughts that come and go with our mind.
We are listening to the tastes, and the smells.
We are completely listening.
