Sure. In the 43rd century setting of #ZackJackson, I was a successful author and actor and my fantasy IP is still being used to tell stories and make games.

Nah. I just write what I want when I feel inspired to do so. After reading Harry Potter, I wanted a sci-fi version. So, I wrote one.
