I watched two movies tonight: The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022) and Rebel Moon Part 1 (2023). I found both of them to be delightful. The first in a Big Lebowski sort of way; the second in a Chronicles of Riddick/Jupiter Ascending way. I’m quite excited for Part 2: The Scarmaker!

I've held off watching the Rebel Moon films because of all the bad press (and because I gave the first one ten minutes and didn't love it). But I'm hoping the director's cut versions deliver something much better. I'll likely give those a chance.

It is insane to me that Roger Corman's Starcrash did this (whatever this is) better. And Roger Corman's Starcrash is shit. But he knew he didn't have to waste too much money on it or, more importantly: not wast FIVE FUCKING HOURS to rip off better films. Corman got it: 90 minutes, "go see a Star Wars, and you're done. I can't even count the amount of times I said "For fuck's sake" out loud (yes, in English, the Swedish language lacks the word for this feeling) when something was filmed in the most pretentious way possible as it was
