I watched The Sweatbox recently and I've had Snuff Out the Light stuck in my head ever since. It's easily my favorite Disney villain song, which is extra funny because it never got released as a villain song.

For anyone who doesn't know, The Emperor's New Groove was going to be a movie called Kingdom of the Son that was modeled off of the Prince and the Pauper, but it was way too complicated and confusing (and frankly a little dumb), so they scrapped it. Some of the music kinda slapped though. ​

Also, massive shoutout to the late Eartha Kitt who does not get enough love. Eartha Kitt imperiled her entire career by standing up to Lydon B. Johnson and trashing the Vietnam War so hard that the CIA started a smear campaign against her. She was an incredible badass. ​ She was also avidly pro-LGBTQ+ and referred to it as a civil rights issue. I miss that lady.
