Just over a month after the race was cancelled, a working group held a special meeting Tuesday night in downtown Whitehorse in the hopes of electing a new board and bringing back the Yukon Quest in 2027.

#Yukon musher Michelle Phillips achieved glory in the #YukonQuest 450-mile race for the second consecutive year. Phillips crossed the makeshift finish line — a plastic chair and a handheld sign — in Pelly Crossing at 1:08 p.m. on Feb. 5.
Yukon Quest 2024 cut short. The development is being called "disappointing" by many involved.
