Was just reminded how much rich people came in and took over the very vibrant and exciting hippie area of town (Yorkville) in Toronto, and made it unaffordable, dull, and lifeless.

No one wants to be there. It became a place to be seen instead of enjoyed. It became full of artifice and bereft of culture and growth. Full of the decadence of colonizers, instead of creators.
