Feeling like crap for *reasons*, that also caused me to sleep 5h last night, so brain is not functioning either.
I am so lucky I have yoga, both practicing & teaching, to help me get out of my mind.

When yoga is about breathing, but your sinuses do not want to play along.
I spent the weekend at a yoga retreat, enjoying some c yoga classes, nature, kirtan, and healthy vegetarian food.
I got home and there was about 1.5kg of water retention in the books. Wondering how much salt that healthy vegetarian food contained π€

I took a yoga class online today, that incorporated some funky things such us:
- Hip dips in tree pose
- Knee circles in warrior II pose
- Windmill-like slides in triangle pose
- (Progressive) Side bends in side angle pose
Looking forward to incorporating these into my future classes π₯°
The priceless face on my yoga students when they learn that I too do fall asleep in savasana occasionally π
It's been the kind of week that ends in me falling asleep in savasana and waking up to a rather loud OOOOOOOMMMMM
I took a page of the book "Yoga For mental health and wellness" (the training I am doing at the moment) and did a restorative practice today. Been having stressfull after stressfull week for the last 2,5 months and haven't been taken enough care of myself.
The 20 minute savasana (in a 65 min class) was clearly needed. I fell in and out that borderline sleep state several times.
In other news, I finally found a retreat that is not (extremely) expensive or far from home, that has single private ensuite bedrooms, and on a weekend I can swing.
So I booked one weekend, because the last two months have been hell and there is still one month to go.
Yoga retreat is in November, so I have something to look forward to.
Another day of practicing what I preach. Taking a yoga class, going into child's pose for a full repeat of the mini flow because my left hamstring is NOT up to it. Imagining doing the movements, following along with breath, but giving my body a break.
Now to find a spot to get that echography done & try to find out what the fck is wrong with the hamstring so I can start PT and slowly get back to painless normal (for me) ROM.
