‘Yesteryear’ Author Caro Claire Burke on Novel, Anne Hathaway Adaptation

I finished #yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke. I am going to be very careful to avoid spoilers. Tradwife influencer Natalie wakes up in the 1800s and suddenly the fun pioneer life she portrayed online isn’t so fun anymore. I really enjoyed this book. It’s very different to things I have read recently and not what I expected going into it. Would recommend. #books #reading #fiction #bookstodon

Halp!!! I’m intrigued by the premise of Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke. (Trad wife influencer gets zapped back to the early 1800s.) And one of the online book reviewers I generally trust really loved it! But it’s outside of my usual genres and I don’t know if I want to spend hard-earned money on it 😬

The loan lines at my library are, like, approximately 50 thousand patrons for each copy so I wouldn’t read it until 2036

Anyone here read it? Non-spoilery advice?

I just finished #yesteryear and I thought it was a horrific book. Question: is this really what is known as satire in the US? #bookstodon

I think I need to #read this #book, based on the #review. This is my favorite quote from the author: "Unlearning things is a luxury. Asking questions is a luxury.”
