Yes’s 1994 album “Talk” with Trevor Rabin driving a fully digital, hard‑disk–based production years before DAWs became the norm. Built in Rabin’s Hollywood home studio by chaining multiple Apple Macs running early Digital Performer, it captured live band performances and then edited and mixed them entirely in the digital domain, no analogue tape, making it one of the first major rock albums recorded and mixed this way. #Yes #Talk #TrevorRabin #ProgRock link in bio

Note that #SteveMorse and #TheDregs are deeply woven into everything here.Influence wise it’s parity with #ChickCorea, #Yes and all the rest in the path before and after. This latest album from #SMB recalls vibe from #StructuralDamage onward. It is deliberate and glorious in that pursuit…and more. Steve has been to hell and back multiple times music industry wise… so this is celebration with highly authentic vibe

Yes playing in the round at Oakland Coliseum, Oct. 7th, 1978.

The only concert I have photos from because after this one, Bill Graham started prohibiting cameras at concerts. Pretty hard to sneak a 35mm Minolta with a 300mm telephoto in hiding it under your jacket. Now everyone takes their phones and it's no big deal. Record the sound too if you want.

This was a pretty cool concert. The stage was in the middle of the arena, and it rotated the entire time so you got a view of the entire band. This was from their Tormato tour.
