ok so we went to check out #Hawrelak Park here in #yeg for the first time after it reopened.
Yes there is still a lot of blank open space, BUT I was positively surprised on the whole? They added an entire separate walking/MUP loop on the inside of the old driving loop. They also added wayfinding, plus more human-scale landscaping.
And that playground was BUSY!!
Hey #yeg! Who do you use to order groceries (delivery or pickup)?
Since COVID started we’ve cut trips to the store out and enjoy being more planful with our eating.
We’ve been ordering with Save-on delivery but they’ve gotten so much worse recently: Canadian-marked food replaced with US junk, delivering food with past or near past dates, etc.
I see that Safeway/Voila has pulled out of the Edmonton online market earlier this year.
Instacart is fast but expensive, etc.
What am I missing?
April 19, 1910 and it's a Ghastly Find In The North Saskatchewan River at Vintage Edmonton:
Another in my favorites of local lore
