The 4th Sunday of Easter Year A reminds us that Jesus is our Shepherd. He leads, protects, and calls us by name. When we listen to His voice and follow Him, we find peace, safety, and new life. βœοΈπŸ‘πŸŒΏ

The 3rd Sunday of Easter Year A tells the story of the road to Emmaus. The disciples walk with Jesus without recognizing Him until He breaks bread. This reminds us that the risen Lord is present with us in Scripture, in the Eucharist, and in daily life. βœοΈπŸŒ…πŸž

Divine Mercy Sunday reminds us that God’s mercy is for everyone.

The risen Jesus brings peace, forgiveness, and hope. Like Thomas, we are invited to trust Him and believe, even when we cannot see. βœοΈπŸŒ…πŸ•ŠοΈ

Palm Sunday Year A begins Holy Week.

Jesus enters Jerusalem in humility, greeted with palms and praise. Yet the Passion is near. The readings show obedience, suffering, and love that leads to victory. We are invited to follow this humble King on the way of the cross. βœοΈπŸŒΏπŸ‘‘

From a sermon I preached six years ago, also in Year A, at the Easter Vigil, tying up all the themes from the previous Sundays' gospel lessons:

'Like Nicodemus, we have come to Jesus by night and we are learning how to be born again. Like the Samaritan woman at the well, we receive living water springing up in us to eternal life, and we are learning how to call our friends and neighbours to see this man who changed our lives. Like the man born blind, our eyes have been opened, and we are learning how to recognize Jesus as our Saviour. Like Lazarus, Jesus has called us by name, and we are learning how to get up out of the tombs of our indifference to new life in his kingdom. The story goes on and on...'
