On Ativan, it feels like I’m not quite awake but not quite asleep. I’m dream eating.
Bastard staples have been removed from my foot! I didn’t cry as much as the first time but they did give me twice as much Ativan this time.
Now I heal.

The 7 staples were removed from my left foot yesterday. That was no fun but a friend came in with me + held my hand. I thanked her later for being my emotional support person.
They had the biopsy results. All the bad stuff was removed so nothing else to be removed. Just one more surgery for the skin graft.
There’s a hole in my foot + today I have the Sesame Street song stuck in my head… 🎶 there’s a hole in my bucket dear Liza, dear Liza… 🎶

My first left foot melanoma surgery is complete. I’m resting in bed using my leg elevation pillow. The plastic surgeon repeatedly told me to elevate my foot and said no weight bearing. I cannot get it wet. I see her next week to change the dressing. There are 7 staples in my foot. S E V E N ‼️
