The #YashicaMatLM is basically finished. I'll reprint the name plate in PETG with a better contrasting color for the raised portion and need to cut a piece of leatherette I forgot. 😅
I'm really happy with the result!
But the camera wouldn't have turned out as nice as it imho did, without #OpenSource!

I took the lens mounting plate assembly out again to inspect the suspicious lens. It appears that what I'm seeing is not beginning lens separation but rather fogging from the vapors of the old grease on the second lens element. It seems it would need some more aggressive polishing, which I'm hesitant to do, considering the image quality this camera produces (1:1 view).
@freecad A top plate for my beautiful #YashicaMatLM*. Since the integrated light meter isn't working anymore, there's no reason to carry it around. 😁

Finally back at the #YashicaMatLM.
I cleaned the lenses, and they seem to be in pretty good shape. Only the rear element of the taking lens looks a little bit like there might be some lens separation starting to happen.

After servicing the film winding mechanism on the #YashicaMatLM today, the whole camera now operates smoothly again. Now all that's left to do is to properly clean the lenses and make it look good again. 🙂
