Free Software Foundation Europe@annabonnie explained at a full #OggCamp2026 auditorium the #fsfe (cool 🚀) activities for the younger generations: Ada & Zangenmann and Youth Hacking 4 Freedom.

Remember being 15, fixing things nobody asked you to fix, staying up way too late debugging stuff for fun? We built the contest we wish had existed back then. 🤩
Any Free Software project. 6 months. No fixed topic. Up to €4096 + a trip to Brussels to meet their people.
Ages 14–18, anywhere in Europe. Solo or team. Totally beginner-ok.

Ich habe mich gefreut, beim #GIT26 mit Caroline Boos @wikimediaDE, @zaimsari und Jugendlichen Medienscouts darüber zu sprechen, wie #FreieSoftware jungen Menschen helfen kann, in Richtung #DigitaleSouveränität aufzubrechen.
Vorher ging es in einem gemeinsamen Workshop mit @annabonnie um #AdaZangemann und #YH4F als Bildungsmaterial.
Als @fsfe waren wir dieses Jahr Kooperationspartner beim #GIT26. @studioimnetz Herzlichen Dank für die Einladung und die spannende Veranstaltung!

Nico RikkenYouth Hacking 4 Freedom is op 1 januari weer van start gegaan met een nieuwe ronde en staat open voor tieners tussen 14 en 18 die momenteel in Europa wonen. Het is een programmeercompetitie georganiseerd door de @fsfe die de kans biedt een eigen project te ontwerpen en ontwikkelen met behulp van Vrije Software en tot 4,096 euro en een reis naar Brussel te winnen. As 2026 begins, we are excited to see the projects from the new edition of #YH4F, kicking off this month, and to start preparing for #FOSDEM and Ada & Zangemann in Dutch!
At the same time, we are looking back at the last month of 2025: from #YH4F in Hamburg to our two latest Software Freedom Podcast episodes, and our updates on the CRA and our work in the Apple v. European Commission litigation.
