☀️ The Sun’s outer corona emits X‑rays from plasma typically at temperatures of about 1.8 to 5.4 M °F (about 1 to 3 M °C), with even higher values during the most energetic solar events. These solar X‑rays are absorbed almost entirely by Earth’s upper atmosphere before they can reach the surface.

Im April 2021 haben wir das 100. Experiment mit der #GINIX, dem Göttingen Instrument for Nano-Imaging with #XRays „gefeiert“ (Maske statt Champagner). Hier eine Übersicht der Laborbücher (kurz nach dem Umstieg auf #snip).

(Die Zählung war nicht immer ganz kanonisch, so gibt es neben run7 und run8 auch 7b und 8b, und mindestens einen pre-run21 oder wann das war. Also in der Summe sogar etwas mehr als 100.)
