Jim BodieIt's another reading and putting away Xmas stuff day and maybe I'll actually read some today. The cat is upstairs so she will not be influencing me to take a long nap. Current music is Sabaton starting with their great cover of the Motorhead song "1916". It's a day for military history themed heavy metal music.
It's another Saturday reading and putting away Xmas stuff (we're a bit behind). I got my best girl taking a nap on the couch with me and Rush playing on the sound system via Spotify. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.
It's another Sunday with no place to go so I'm in my Doctor Who lounge pants, one of my favorite Mets shirts and this afternoon I will be reading and putting a shit load of ornaments on the big tree. The music of choose is the Heavy Metal Christmas Playlist on Spotify. Current selection, Rob Halford singing "Oh Holy Night". Xmas music is better with a heavy metal filter.
Here is a very rare selfie. I would dress this way next week when the 1st of 3 Doctor Who specials premieres, but I will be out for the evening. We have no plans today so I'm going to read and get the living room ready for Xmas decorating. This will mostly take the form of giving the room a much-needed cleaning.
I ran out of hooks, the trees are quite full of ornaments, that tells me I'm done decorating. We have 4 decorated trees, a 8 or 9 foot tree, two 3 foot trees, and a rather small one. I took over the small one for the several sets of real small ornaments. After dinner, I need to fix a blown bulb in a light strand and start wrapping Kat's gifts. If I do that tonight, I'll have zero obligations tomorrow. Everything will be done.
We're staying home today. For the remainder of the afternoon I am in my living room reading and finishing up putting stuff on the Xmas tree. My Fox cartoons are repeats so I'll probably watch some Starlost and put more stuff on the tree.
Step 1,fix string of lights. Done. Half of the lights were out. Turns out, the first and 2bd to last bulbs on that half were bad. It's all lit up now.
Step 2,decorate the small tree with lights and firetruck, military, Star Wars and annual Hallmark snowmen ornaments about to begin.
Step 3, put crap load of ornaments on the main tree will start later this afternoon.
My motivation is lacking, but will look good when done.
Oh yeah, that's why I don't vacuum often enough. My back is starting to get irked with me and I'm not even half done. Rule 1: if anyone critizes my vacuum and dusting job, they can do it. Sadly, no one has criticized my work so I'll keep doing it.
