Originally written by Roy Brown whose recording hit # 13 on the Billboard R&B chart, but Harris' record became a # 1 R&B hit and remained on the chart for half a year.
Elvis Presley cut a version in 1954, and Robert Plant covered it, renamed “Rockin’ at Midnight”, with his Honeydrippers in 1984.
