Oh thank goodness I'm finally able to reach JTWC using VPN. I really miss their wind radius forecast maps and their prognostic reasoning products.

Here's the JTWC map for #TropicalStorm #Wutip with forecast wind radii. (They still classify it as a Tropical Depression.)

BTW, Wutip (蝴蝶) is the Cantonese word for "Butterfly". The name is contributed by Macau.

Got a few minutes, so let me post what I do every summer:
#TropicalStorm #Wutip is the first Western North Pacific #TropicalCyclone this year. As of Wed 8pm China Time it is centered at 16.8°N 111.4°E, about 258km/160mi SE of Sanya, China.
• It has maximum sustained wind speed of 35kts/40mph/65kph – barely reaching TS strength.
• It is expected to intensify to Severe Tropical Storm before making landfall in Hainan, China, late Thu night to early Fri morning; it won't reach #Typhoon strength.
