Domicilié en Suède, W est un pur produit européen. Son organisation est éclatée sur tout le continent : à Zurich pour la direction ( #AnnaZeiter ), à Paris et Berlin pour l'ancrage politique, à Londres pour le commercial et en... Ukraine pour la partie technique.
Une version bêta est attendue dès février, avec une ouverture au public d’ici la fin de l’année. Mais la route est longue : entre X, Threads, Bluesky et Mastodon, le marché est saturé. W mise tout sur une fonctionnalité unique : la confiance. Reste à voir si cela suffira pour déclencher un exode massif depuis X, qui conserve malgré tout une influence énorme.
