Midmorning writing is that magical time when the coffee’s worn off, lunch is too far away, and suddenly I’m editing the same sentence for the 47th time like it’s a hostage negotiation.
I told myself I’d write one chapter today. Then I reorganized my Scrivener labels, cleaned out the fridge, and researched 19th-century arsenic poisoning methods for a subplot I just made up. So technically… I did make progress.
