Cruising Louisiana: COMPLETE ✅

This stream was a perfect little microcosm of how I treat both games and life: good intentions, mild chaos, and a stubborn belief that I can absolutely make that turn if I just believe harder (and maybe clip one more curb).

We kicked off hauling around Louisiana, bounced west into Texas to shake loose better job options, then stitched our way back through the final cities until the last checkmark fell in Lake Charles while hauling 8 tons of scissor lifts on a company flatbed because the universe refuses to let me finish anything the way I intend.

• 175 — Alexandria → Houma
• 95 — Houma → Lafayette
• 125 — Lafayette → Beaumont
• 129 — Beaumont → Houston
• 153 — Houston → DeRidder
• 244 — DeRidder → New Orleans
• 283 — New Orleans → Natchitoches
• 72 — Natchitoches → Shreveport (not enough for credit — extremely rude behavior)
• 158 — Shreveport → Idabel, OK
• 424 — Idabel → Lake Charles (final city ✅)

We also took a few delightful conversational detours today: accents vs dialects, why some accents sneak an “R” into words like Louisiana, and a bit of transportation-history rabbit hole energy that feels very “day after Christmas brain.”

Kusamo → Kajaani (Finland) to lock in Finland city #6 ✅

Reward during the run: Northern Lights (yes, I stopped for photo mode like a tourist with a phone at 2% battery)

Kajaani → Bodø (Norway) with a long-haul run through Sweden — the big push that put us in position after the Finnish finish

Rest stop in Arvidsjaur, Sweden (and grabbed a church photo trophy along the way)

Rolled into Bodø, Norway to check off Norway city #5 ✅

Final victory lap: Bodø → Mo i Rana hauling ~20 tons of milk to close out Norway city #6 ✅

Also: plenty of tunnels, mountains, and that “northern Norway is unfairly pretty” energy.

Hauled a 15-ton wheel loader on a lowboy into Tornio (with a quick repair stop after the truck kept screaming about empty air tanks), then grabbed an excavator and rolled through Rovaniemi on the way to Kuusamo. #SCSSoftware should make it so during #DesertBus, all #WorldOfTrucks jobs are speed limited to 45 MPH and go to Phoenix or Las Vegas if you're not in one of those two, and if you're in Phoenix, they all go to Las Vegas, and vice-versa. Just 467 km of trucks doing 72 km/h or less.

The chaos this would cause to #TruckersMP alone every time the route drops to a single lane because of a ramp or narrow road would be worth it.

There's a new event going on in American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2. It looks like it'll be similar to the last two Christmas events, where you drive off the map to a hidden area.
