What a gift he gave me - helping me honor my dad in the way I needed to - & the world. His knowledge of #dementia & ability to communicate it in a way that we can all understand is invaluable. A favorite photo of my parents, Tzip (short for Tzipporah; she never liked her birth name, Matilda, and so always went by her #Hebrew name) and Jerry. Decades after this picture was taken, my mom would become my dad's #caregiver and she gave him all the #love she had. #WorldAlzheimer'sMonth
