I see so much negatively in the book world on social media, from readers, writers, editors, artists & more. It can feel demoralizing. As a writer, just write a story that feels right. If you have a publisher insisting on so many words, okay, but sticking with a certain word count can bloat a book. #books #writer #wordcount

30.5k words. I learned more things about football. People keep trying to explain to the protagonist that he doesn't have to be responsible for everything, but he doesn't have a frame of reference to grasp that. Not that I know what that's like or anything...

I barely slept last night. But I am over 20k words on the urban fantasy football story. #WordCount
I have averaged around 1666 words every day since Dec 12 on the urban fantasy football story. Which I think means I need 52 more days to get to 100k, which is probably the length to aim for. If my math is right. #writing #WordCount

Day 28: I Miss This

I used to have cats. I miss when they interrupted me while I was working on writing a story, blog post, or whatever. The distraction was always worth it.

Hopefully, for those who are still going, there aren’t any major ongoing distractions in your way. (But a cat distraction would be good.)

Quote of the day:

A word after a word after a word is power.
