A new little knitting corner, and this feels like the right way to begin 🧶

I’m planning to make the Tara Top by Arnhild Skatved with this beautiful yarn combination.

There’s something about Ito Sensai + Kinu I already love — soft, light, a little luminous, and full of promise before the first stitch is even made.

Now all that’s left is to cast on.

Well, would you look at that. Delicate wash (warm, because my machine doesn't give me a choice), dried flat, and it did just fine.

If you're wondering, the yarn is Laines du Nord Matera: DK weight, 100% Merino Gentile (an Italian sheep breed grown in Puglia), 160 m/50 g or 175 yds/1.75 oz. I didn't love the colours available at my LYS, tbh, which is how I ended up with light grey, but at $9.99 CAD a ball, it's pretty affordable for the quality and yardage.
