The chief executives of major gas companies have declined a request to personally appear at hearings at a parliamentary inquiry into the sector’s tax settings.
The bosses of #Woodside, #Chevron, #Santos, #Inpex, #Shell & #ConocoPhillips to front the inquiry, which is examining the case for replacing the petroleum resource rent tax (PRRT) with a flat 25% tax on export revenue.

Woodside Public Library on St George's Road in Glasgow. One of the city's Carnegie libraries, it was designed by James R. Rhind and was opened in 1905. The sculptures are by William Kellock Brown, who also produced sculptures for six other Carnegie libraries in Glasgow designed by Rhind.
