Itโs the 18-Year Anniversary of when my mom, Patricia and I first began the 5-month process of recording our album. We started the project on January 3rd and wrapped it up in May (2008).

Sylvia, sadly posted earlier today about the passing of one of her band members from the 1980s, Pete Finney. He played steel and acoustic guitars in her band for about 5 years.
She mentions Pete and some of her other band members in this video I recently created.
I thought I'd post it in honor of Sylvia and Pete making awesome music together all those years.

I had mentioned a couple posts ago, how I had wished Sylvia and Don Williams would have recorded a duet together. Well, I'd wished the same for Sylvia and Jim Glaser.
However, what I'd say is the second-best thing, he sang backup on her first album "Drifter". Including Sylvia's first Top 10 hit "Tumbleweed". In 2018 when she re-recorded some of her hits for an album she entitled "Second Bloom", she invited Jim to sing on it with her. The song turned out so beautiful.
My dog, George passed away a long time ago. I began writing a song about him on his 17th birthday, and I finished it about a month after he passed away. There were some additional changes made when mom and I were in the recording process.
"George (I Knew He Was the Puppy for Me)", is track 6 on our album.

My dog George has been gone a long time but after he passed away, I never did get a new pet, mostly due to it being difficult having an animal when renting an apartment.
I have wonderful memories of the day I adopted him from the animal shelter when I was 10 & throughout his 17-year life.
I wish I could fit on here all that I recently wrote about how the song I started writing on his 17th birthday came to be.
