@LeibnizHKI has been studying #CandidaAlbicans, a fungus which can cause genital infections in millions of women worldwide. New results raise hope that with the help of nanobodies, the activity of the fungus’ toxin Candidalysin can be blocked. In the laboratory, the nanobodies very effectively reduced toxin-induced tissue damage.
