Turned on #bbcnews and saw a report on the suppression of women in Honduras. Turned over to #skynews and saw a report on the suppression and the "killing of souls" of women in Afghanistan. Misogyny is a dark evil force on the increase in the 21st century. Misogyny in Britain is insidious and we're allowing voices of hate to spout heinous words (eg #jeremyclarkson ). The first two items on the news this evening were about the murder of women.
The first was about the death of an estranged wife & her mother, murdered by a jealous ex. Their request for help from the police, on multiple occasions were ignored.
The 2nd was about a woman walking home from a night out, murdered by a stranger. This brutal man had recently been released from prison on license.
My heart is broken for the families.
