African women head major international bodies such as Nigeria’s Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala at the WTO, Louise Mushikiwabo at the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, and Winnie Byanyima at UNAIDS. Countries like Namibia and South Africa rank among the top worldwide for gender parity in labor market outcomes.
