HezStarted off today with a great Zoom meeting (they exist! who knew?!) listening to the founder of #Hystelica talking about how little attention is given to women's issues in most current clinical trials involving #psychedelics. #DrGraceBlestHopely got me even more fired up about #WomenInPsychedelicResearch. I immediately added age & gender as response fields in my study. I'd neglected to do so because my volunteers are all well known to me, but I want their data to be useful to all. #WorkJournal
Recently discovered the incredible resource that is the #OpenScienceFramework, & when I emailed support to ask if it was only open to credentialed folks or if #CitizenScience could find a home there too, I got an immediate, welcoming "Yes" that filled me with nerdy glee. Whether or not I get a big juicy publishing deal for my #NonFictionBook on #MicrodoseStrainSelection, at least I know my work might inspire others if I share it via the #OSF. #WomenInPsychedelicResearch #WorkJournal #YayScience

Oh yeah, I got the right one, baby. 'Nothin but net' as I think the sportsball players say. Smooth, sub-perceptual & stress-free. If I didn't feel the tiniest tingle in my 3rd eye, I wouldn't know I'd dosed. I chose #Mazatapecs because I may also do a larger dose w/a pal who's a trained #psychedelic guide, & this strain is the one I want to experience that with as well. Reader, it was ANOTHER productive day of writing, editing and networking/self-promotion. Because I must always putter while I work (#ADHDSolutions), I also made a lemony simple syrup while I watched a webinar on careers in #Psychedelics via the #CelebratingWomenInPsychedelics community I've joined, founded by #SoniaStringer (also a fellow Canadian!). Finally finished reading the extraordinary work of multidisciplinary scholarship that is #MushroomsRussiaAndHistory, and then found a 1979 documentary about the #Mazatec #curandera that first introduced #RGordonWasson (& later, wife #ValentinaWasson) to #MagicMushrooms in 1955, #MariaSabina, w/o whom I don't think modern day studies into #psilocybin would have been possible.
