In #Iran you can be lashed and banned from leaving the country because you sang as a woman!

In Islamic Republic's ideology #womanhood itself must be controlled, disciplined, hidden and punished. A woman's voice, body, appearance, movement and choices are all considered matters for state supervision.

It't not morality or culture, but organized repression. They teach women that their freedom is a threat, their visibility is a crime and their independence is disobedience.
