Dear, dear characters from youth, and a distinctly formative series along my personal creative journey, too; I used to sketch along the books in my early teens. Yet, it evidently took until just recently to feel confident enough to attempt to do them any justice.

My absolute main elf of them all, Skywise 💙 (With chief and lifemate, Cutter, how else). Back when I first fell for Pinis' elves in my youth and went through a phase of keenly studying the comic pages for character references, I remember accepting that I hardly had capabilities worth anything to do much with them, but mused that perhaps some day I would and could (if it were still to feel relevant). Obviously, hasn't been actively on my mind whole of this time, but the idea kept coming and going every now and then, and as I now picked the comics up once again after a while to get over a recent reading slump, the moment finally struck; been so exciting for the past week with the old flame and for the first time feeling things actually possible. I dare declare these my 'first' Skywise and Cutter (which is also why it was a delight to see how easily they came about; like sketching well familiar subjects... which I suppose they *are*, even if not artistically). #ElfQuest #WendyPini #Wolfriders #Skywise #elvesofinstagram #elf #elfart"
