Most people are not bothered by someone using more inclusive language, it's when someone tries to correct others for using language they consider less inclusive that many otherwise very reasonable people get annoyed. It feels insulting.

In close relationships when the time is right, these conversations should still happen. And think what you want of people based on their word usage. But otherwise, our lexicon needs to change organically. It always does. #wokeism

Eliphalet Nott was Presbyterian minister and RPI (Union College) President. He says many wish they could serve Jesus like Martha (Luke 10:38-42). Yes, Jesus has ascended above beyond our physical reach. But Matthew 25 says that kindness to the pious poor is the same done to Christ.

Today, many seek extrabiblical ways to express zeal for service to “Christ himself”.
