@DropBear Israelis especially the Eastern European variety latch to foreigners. Especially White foreigners. There’s a palpable desperation to be included in the club they’ve been kicked out of so violently.
I don’t know if that guy was one of them, but I’ve sat through many dinners where my partner who’s not Israeli nor Jewish was swarmed and campaigned for hours about how bad the Palestinians are and how peace loving Israelis are. They just cant help themselves from propaganda and disinformation.

This is such a weird thing to say considering most Israelis have a non European background, either North African, near eastern or Slavic. It’s not racism. It’s really an identity crisis mixed with self loathing. Ok… it’s racism too and orientalism… oy vey. The pathology is terminal.
