Here are my favorite Safari extensions I make use of everyday

1. Wipr 2 - a paid adblocker that works excellent and remove cookie consent prompts #wipr2

2. Noir - a paid extension that turns almost all websites into dark mode, making it friendly for my eyes #noir

3. Kagi for Safari - an extension that redirects ddg and other search engine queries to Kagi Search (as there’s still no native way to add a custom search engine to Safari) #kagi #kagisearch

What are yours? 🙂

@alexskunz Just bought and installed! I found out that the app developer is on Mastodon! #wipr2 @mipstian

The only thing I’m a bit unsure about is that I hadn’t been using Safari is months because I don’t like all the tracking and also tracking with sites I visit in search/browser.

So I am using Ecosia for both search and browser now. I had to enable it in my iPhone settings as default browser. It’s great! And with Ecosia if you are logged in, every day you use it and every site you visit while using it has the ad revenue to to the Ecosia worldwide non-profit for planting trees.

It would be super great if my default browser also took on the Wipr 2 blocking features.

If it doesn’t, then I will use Safari only for egregious websites with a ridiculous number of ads and pop-ups. It’s $4.99 for the purchase and worth every cent.
