bjoernI wasn't thinking about this too much during the last few years, but ever since I was having a look at @kagihq 's #OrionBrowser I started to realize how truely amazing @mipstian 's #Wipr is. Give it a go if you are on Safari and you don't like ads or pop-ups. It just works out of the box! I have yet to find (chrome based) plugins that have the same effect for me on Orion. I assume uBlock would get me ~90% there, but it didn't take long for me to run into issues with a website during testing.

Steve PennySo what’s the best Safari ad-blocker these days?
I currently use a combination of #1Blocker and #StopTheMadness, but find they impact too many actual features of websites and I find myself having to access sites in a private window too often to get things to work.
Is it worth persisting and tweaking them? What about the likes of #Wipr and #AdBlockPro these days?

ednl 🇪🇺I like the new Safari address bar icon shortcut to extensions in iOS 17. It's a little convoluted with a useless intermediate window, but a great improvement on having to scroll through the Settings app. However, do go to Settings and check those Safari extensions one by one to see if they are still enabled in private mode. I use Wipr adblocker and the "Extra" component was disabled in private mode.
