A fun day out with Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team and @GrahamUney looking at winter skills (along with seemingly every other mountain rescue team in the land), in Coire an t-Sneachda. The snow is still very patchy, but with a drop in temperatures, it is firm and icy with serious rocky runouts. A little new snow fell today, too. Good to see lots of folk out enjoying themselves. ❄️❄️❄️

Home sweet home! Sunshine and a dusting of snow on Goatfell today. It was winking at me from the ferry as I arrived back this morning, so after a quick cup of tea, I headed back out the door with Wally. Bit of a contrast to the steamy humidity of Tanzania. In fact, it was flipping baltic on the top. Microspikes/crampons were useful today, especially on the middle mountain where the path is caked in hard water ice.
So this is pretty cool...
I've been joyfully working on other folks winter skills courses for years, but nevertheless I'm chuffed to bits that the first one I'm offering under my own header has sold out!

Last day of winter skills with Holme Valley MRT, and we made a journey over Cairngorm. The weather cleared, and the views were majestic! I've had a great few days on the hill with these guys and gals, working for @GrahamUney .
