Over the past couple of weeks I’ve pulled out the spent tomato plants and weeded that (very neglected and weedy!) patch of garden. Today I sowed green manure seeds - a lupin and garden oats mix - and emptied the contents of one compost bin there. Feeling prepared for winter now.

When I had a surge of energy a few weeks back, due to a break from some medication, one of the long delayed tasks I did was to get the wheelbarrow tyre repaired. So glad I did - it’s a lot easier shifting compost with a barrow than buckets. What a simple yet brilliant device a wheelbarrow is 😆

So that's the last of the Winter crops sown (Broad Beans, mainly to build up the seed-stock for the next season).
