Random question for the Fediverse. can anyone recommend a refrasctometer for measuring sugar content (Brix), the use is for measuring honey (17-18%). But would be great if it could be used for beer/wine/alcohol making etc. (which I believe is a different percentage) #refractometer #beekeeping #winemaking #equipment

Racked and stabilized the 2024 plum wine, added some sugar and a bunch of nucleation points...

I left the wine in secondary fermentation for way too long. Finally got around to bottling it.

It’s drinkable, but the taste is a little off. Had a little bit of “wine flower” scum on top. But I drank most of a bottle last night and I don’t feel sick today. So that’s a good sign!

I made 13 bottles in total! #winemaking
