Here you can see a Woodland Ringlet (Erebia medusa; or in German Rundaugen-Mohrenfalter) - this is one of the first times I successfully shot a butterfly. It's not easy - especially with a macro lense - as their flight distane is pretty high so I'm quite proud of this pic.
You can see this butterfly from May to August in Europe.

Heute schleppte ich mein rund 2kg schweres Tele-Objektiv rund 1500 Meter einen Berg hoch, nur um ein paar Steinböcke zu fotografieren. Was ich oben antraf übertraf jedoch meine Erwartungen deutlich. Rund 50 Steinböcke traf ich dort an. Alte Steinböcke mit riesigen Hörnern, aber auch ganz Junge. Auch ein paar Weibchen waren dort, was auch eher selten ist, da diese meistens nicht mit den Männchen zusammen unterwegs sind. Zum ersten Mal überhaupt konnte ich auch schlafende Steinböcke beobachten. Es war einfach traumhaft schön.

Today, I lugged my 2kg telephoto lens 1500 meters up a mountain, just to photograph some ibexes. However, what I found at the top far exceeded my expectations. I encountered around 50 ibexes there. Old ibexes with huge horns, but also very young ones. There were also a few females, which is rather rare, as they usually are not in the same place as the males. For the first time ever, I was also able to observe sleeping ibexes. It was simply beautiful.

🇩🇪 Ein Turmfalke im Weinberg – lautlos gleitet er heran, packt blitzschnell zu und sichert sich eine Eidechse. Natur pur, mitten zwischen den Reben.

🇬🇧 A kestrel in the vineyard – silently it glides in, strikes in a flash, and secures a lizard. Pure nature, right among the vines.
