A few years ago, my dog found leverets being attacked by magpies. One had already died and the other two were injured.
I brought them home and got in touch with a local wildlife rehabilitator. She took them in, and one of them survived- which is quite rare for rescued leverets. (Also: mother hares leave their babies alone during the day for safety. Unless a leveret is clearly injured or in immediate danger, it is best to leave them be. And you know, if you’re unsure, always call a specialist for advice first 🙂)
