A slow midday (as it usually is) filled with visting the trails and botanical garden of a research center, followed by an evening that proved to be the most productive of the Texas trip with not only a couple beautiful familiar snake species, but also a couple that are brand new to the channel!

Golden Ragwort (Packera aurea). formerly in the Genus Senecio. Love these delicate looking but tough little blooms that can withstand wind and rain and keep blooming for a few weeks.

Bees and flies pollinate this species but the foliage is toxic to most browsers except for sheep.
