#London - #Wilding - #Docunight in for #EarthDay

Friday, April 24 • 6:30 PM - 9 PM

St. James' Church
Prebend St
London N1 8PH

"Join us for movie night celebrating nature, hope and friendship. We'll watch Wilding following the #Knepp's estate work with the land.

Join us for a community screening of Wilding, the documentary telling the story of the #KneppEstate, one of the most influential #rewilding projects in the UK.

Hosted in our #CommunityGarden, this screening invites us to come together and explore what happens when land is allowed to recover, and how rethinking our relationship with #nature can transform landscapes, #biodiversity and our understanding of #conservation.

Arrival from 6:30pm | Screening starts at 7:00pm

This is a chance to gather, reflect and reconnect with the possibilities of nature in both rural and urban contexts.

Tickets are £5 to cover the screening rights, if by any chance this feels innaccessible please come anyway. This is a community screening :) "

The resident fey of the Wilewood in Sevenarches went on their first wilding, streaming out of the wood and invading the town. This occurs every 100 years.

I'm impressed by the March newsletter from the Greater Cambridge Chalk Stream Project, all the effort that so many volunteers & professionals are committing to river health & restoration, & exemplary communication:

February: The Joys of the Ephemeral Pond - Knepp

After a spate of days ruled by bouts of stormy rains, the large kindly face of a wax-yellow full moon rises into a still night, and ushers in the third heatwave of the year.

The top of our garden, which we affectionately refer to as the wild half, is awash with snowdrops.

It's about half an acre of very old trees (150+ years). Over the years we scattered wild flower seeds and left it to nature.

It was once an old orchard for the house. #gardening #wilding
