The saga of the broken auto macro lens continues but hopefully will be sorted soon. I am making do with the little manual portrait lens. It is bright and resolves beautifully. Most important, it doesn't weigh a ton.

The problem is that I have to have it open to nail the focus but because it is open, the depth of field is very shallow.

For identification, that isn't necessarily a huge problem.

So here is a leafcutter bee. There are lots on the forest of knapweed on my raised bed wildflower meadow.
