Nearly finished scything the wildflower meadow: 8 swathes cut over the past 5 days and 1.5 to go, which will get finished this afternoon.

The wildflower meadow is coping well with the lack of rain and showing a good range of grass and flower species. The clover and the white ox-eye daisies have mostly finished flowering and now purple common knapweed is the dominant flower - attracting butterflies and bees. There's also some yellow lady's bedstraw starting to appear - and the odd teasel.
