I'm working on a #uMap of all my #Sketchfab models (http://u.osmfr.org/m/1380431/) which is taking for-e-ver. I wish it was an in-built feature on Sketchfab, if people wanted to add coordinates to their #photogrammetry scans. I guess I'm spoiled from #LinkedOpenData in the #Wikiverse and #OpenStreetMap.
Sketchfab models

Locations of where the originals of the Sketchfab models on [[https://sketchfab.com/b-unicycling/models|my account]] are located. The single models have green markers, collections for sites have pink markers. The icons on the markers indicates whether a drone was involved in the shoot. You can use all kinds of **filters** by opening the layer control on the left.

like it! that's also my request to everyone editing the #wikiverse - if you cite websites, please archive the site before you submit your edit!

There are some really useful suggestions in this article as to what #GLAM|s can do in the #Wikiverse / on #wikidata (it's pretty straightforward to get started): https://culturalcontent.substack.com/p/sharing-the-worlds-paintings-on-wikidata

Hi there Team Content,

#NFDI4Objects #N4OCM2025
My amazing #Wiki colleague Tiago Lubiana has released this lovely video on the #BHLImageExporer. This tool (https://bhl-gallery.toolforge.org/) uses the structured data added to Biodiversity Heritage Library images in Wikimedia Commons to facilitate image exploration and reuse by the wider #Wikiverse. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XK9iknIDtkQ #HighlyRecommended

Lukewarm take: If a wiki community (or any other online community) is "professional," that makes me way less interested in spending my free time there.

I'm particularly going to critique the Gaming Wiki Network, whose
criteria for joining state

Welcoming: Wikis should have a positive, welcoming, and well-managed community. Their conduct should be respectful and professional, including on wiki social media accounts. They should be well-moderated so as to not foster a harmful environment.(Emphasis mine)

I don't think a "professional" wiki is welcoming, especially to communities who have historically been excluded from "professional" settings.

As of today, all articles in the new Pandora's Tale Wiki have been fully converted to text/gemini.

There are still a few more formatting changes I want to do before I can declare the new wiki better than the old one.

Notably, the website for the git repository does not actually render gemtext. Gemtext is very close to plain text, so the articles are still legible, but eventually I want to set things up so that you can actually view the articles rendered in either a web browser or a gemini browser.

@siobhan_leachman go ahead and sell #wikiverse for me, I'm a Wikipedia trainer and think that more people should be aware of Wikidata. So what could Wikiverse offer for people?
