Went into a deep dive looking for Obsidian/Markdown/To-do-list widgets for my phone. A rather frustrating exercise.

* Todosian (Fdroid) - doesn't actually have a widget
* Obsidian ToDo Widget (Fdroid) - unmaintained, and has crashed people's systems; but it does appear to be working, huh? Only displays strict tasks. Limited to ONE widget. But that's okay. Manual refresh (okay, because It Works). Can actually cross off completed tasks in the widget (YES).
* Markdown Widget (Aurora) - doesn't actually provide a widget at all
* A Markdown Widget (Aurora) - nice widget, button to edit in Obsidian, but isn't refreshing the widget
* Markdown Memo Widget (Aurora) - requires GPS; when you hit refresh, it thinks the file is empty (or can't find it), when you edit it, it sees only the old cached version of the file, not the current one.
* VaultMate (Aurora) - only displays tasks which are explicitly scheduled for today. (annoying)
* TaskForge (Aurora) - widgets are a paid feature, not bothering.

Are there any Android widgets that I've overlooked?

I think widgets on @[email protected] are a nice idea. Either they are still very buggy or they are rolled out in waves because one of my Windows PCs has it, the other not. My Android device has it, my iPhone and iPad not. All of them run the latest version available. Strange..... #Firefox #Widgets

Mostly done with tweaking my app for displaying any sort of remote data anywhere on your phone.

Now, on to my least favorite part - prepping all the launch materials 😫

Made a simple "how-to" screen today. A few more finishing touches and it will be ready enough to ship (and get real-world feedback of what I didn't think to add yet 😅)

Now to decide, if I want to try the preorder route 🤔
